Non-surgical lip augmentation is a type of lip enhancement that may be performed not only by doctors, but also by aestheticians and other specialists. There are several different choices for non-surgical lip enhancement, most of which are dermal fillers. The most popular dermal fillers include: Restylane, Perlane, Radiesse/Radiance, Juvederm, and Collagen; though they all vary slightly, they are all effective lip enhancers. Typically costing $562 dollars per treatment on average, dermal fillers are an affordable way to augment your lips. Aside from the price differences between different fillers, the variation in cost is mostly accounted for by three cost factors: time between treatments, location of facility, and skill of the provider.

  • Lip Augmentation Costs—Factor 1: Time between Treatments

Dermal filler results are relatively long lasting; depending on which filler you choose, your results will last a different amount of time.

    • Juvederm, Restylane, & Collagen – Up to 8 months
    • Perlane – Up to 12 months
    • Radiance – 2-5 years
Prepare to re-invest in treatments after the results wear off; you will be able to successfully predict how long your results will last after your first treatment. For your first time, it may be smart to use one of the more temporary dermal fillers to insure you are happy with the results

  • Lip Augmentation Costs—Factor 2: Location

Non-surgical lip augmentation can be done in several types of locales. Spas, clinics, and doctor’s offices tend to charge different amounts. The location of your facility will also affect the price of treatment. Rural treatment centers and facilities in the middle of the country tend to be less expensive than city and coast facilities. Knowing this, it may be easier to find the right provider for you.

  • Lip Augmentation Costs—Factor 3: Skill of Provider

Who you choose to complete your procedure will affect the price you pay. The level of experience and expertise a specialist has tends to change the price of the treatment. Doctors may charge more than nurses who may in turn charge more than aestheticians. The cheapest price does not guarantee the best results, so do your research and choose your specialist carefully.
